This article explains when and why an organization gets suspended or banned. Furthermore, it explains what can be done to revert this status.

When will the organization be suspended?

Your organization will be suspended in the following scenarios:

  • When you have an unpaid invoice on the first of a month (+ unsuccessful retry).

  • When we will find out that you are using our services for illegitimate purposes.

  • When we will observe suspicious behavior in your usage pattern, although we don't monitor activities inside your instances.

  • When you behave unprofessionally towards our Company & Employees.

What happens when an organization is suspended?

When an organization account gets suspended, it leads to these actions:

  • No one (Org. owner, Admin, Members) of an organization will be able to access Instances & all related resources (e.g. Volume, Snapshot, Static IP).

  • The organization account can be reinstated if the organization owner reaches out to customer support and we could resolve the issue due to which the account got suspended.

  • After we reinstate your Org. account, every one in the organization can again access instances and related resources.

When will the organization be banned?

Your organization will be banned in the following scenarios:

  • When you have repeatedly unpaid invoices.

  • When your Org. account is in a suspended state and not reinstated within 90 days of suspension.

  • After your account has been reinstated from suspension, if we observe any suspicious behavior in your usage pattern again.

  • When we will find out that you are using our services for illegitimate purposes.

  • When an account of ‘Organization Owner’ gets banned.

  • When a dispute occurs between your company & Genesis Cloud and we could not resolve it.

What happens when an organization is banned?

When an organization account gets banned, it leads to these actions:

  • No one (Org. owner, Admin, Members) of an organization will be able to access Instances and all related resources (e.g. Volume, Snapshot, Static IP) and all your instances with all related resources will be deleted.

  • This action can not be reversed.

  • However, these actions will not affect any of your personal accounts (Org. Owner’s, Admin’s or Members') which you set up with Genesis Cloud.

Please note: The organization is handled independently. Thus, similar to a private account. The Owner's, Admin’s or Members' personal accounts are unaffected, if the organization is banned or suspended.
